Dalhalla Amphitheater, Rättvik – Sweden

It's quite a journey to get there, but if you value the location of a festival, it's definitely worth a visit. The festival is held in an old limestone quarry in the middle of nowhere and therefore definitely deserves a place on this list!

4. Traena Music Festival

Træna – Norway

Every year the entire population of Træna helps to make something special of the Traena Music Festival in Norway. And when the visitors finally arrive by boat, it will surprise them again what the exact location is this year.

Is it in a church.., or maybe in an ancient cave..? In any case, we are curious what the residents have in store for us in the upcoming years!

3. Red Rocks Amphitheater

Morrison, Colorado – USA

A festival? Not necessarily. But the Red Rocks Amphitheater certainly belongs in this list. With views over the Rocky Mountains, the Red Rocks Amphitheater has been home to some great artists like The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Depeche Mode and U2.

 2. Secret Solstice

Reykjavik - Iceland

The not-so-secret Secret Solstice in Reykjavík is held every year during the midnight sun, bringing the festival to nearly 72 hours of daylight. But what the festival is mainly known for is its stages. Artists can be admired in a glacier, a 5,200 year old lava tunnel and from a geothermal lagoon.

However, the names aren’t too bad either. None other than the Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Black Eyed Paes, The Prodigy and Martin Garrix have visited the festival before.

Are you considering visiting the festival? Then we advise you to take a good look at the price before purchasing a VIP ticket. Because this is the most expensive festival ticket in the world. How much? $1 million!

1. Underwater Music Festival

Big Pine Key, Florida – USA

Okay, maybe we're crossing the line from unique to bizarre here, because you can attend a true underwater festival. So if you're a fan of both scuba diving and festivals, Florida will give you the best of both worlds!

There may even be a third reason to attend the festival, because the festival is actually intended to draw attention to the preservation of the coral reef.

Unbelievable what some festivals have to offer besides their music. We are therefore extremely curious about your experiences. So don’t hold back and share your most crazy, special or beautiful festival experience with us! Download the Gigit app and share your favourite gigs!
