5. The National

Where? Ziggo Dome

If you decide to buy a ticket for The National, you know you're in for a high-quality show. If Matt is then also in a happy mood and fully engaged with the audience, then you are definitely in for a treat.

That luck struck the visitors at the Ziggo Dome last month. They saw an unprecedentedly strong opening by The National and a phenomenal second half of their performance.

4. The Clockworks

Thanks to this GOTM column (and therefore you), every month we come across new suggestions for the next gig to attend. To that already incredibly long list, we can now add The Clockworks. A British band with fresh and easy-listening rock songs, but also a nice live performance in its arsenal.

We will undoubtedly see more from the foursome, but for now, we have already added some songs to our favourite Spotify list!

3. 5 Seconds of Summer

Where? Palais 12

When? September 30

After shows in Paris, Berlin, London and Milan, last month it was Brussels' turn. There, the ex One Direction support act briefly showed that there doesn't have to be an expiry date on a boy band.

They owed this to their own performance, of course, but also to the many confetti and their exuberant fans!

2. Holly Humberstone

Where? Melkweg

When? September 20

According to Gigit user Alex, we should not only thank Holly, but also the audience for this fantastic performance.

Indeed, the audience in the venue managed to be completely absorbed in Holly's energy. From moments of absolute silence, to singing along at the top of their voices.

In a month full of top shows, there is only one way to emerge as the very best. By receiving a perfect 5-star rating from you! And Only The Poets managed to do just that.

With some international hits like JUMP!, the audience was already warmed up considerably in the months leading up to the show. All it took was a first hit on the guitar to unleash a bomb of dopamine and the party was on!
