Fun Festival Facts
Who doesn't love some fun facts? It's no use to anyone, but still..! We have therefore listed the most useless, interesting or funniest festival facts so that you can share this music trivia with your friends.
5. Lost and Found
Losing your friends, some tokens or if you're unlucky your phone or wallet. But a prosthetic arm or leg? Yes, prosthetic limbs are more common on the lost and found list than you might think!
But objects are also deliberately left behind. In 2011, for example, no fewer than 700 perfectly usable tents were left behind at Leeds Festival!
4. EXIT Festival
Today EXIT is an award-winning festival that returns annually to the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Town, Serbia. The biggest artists are on the lineup and with 190,000 visitors it is the biggest pop festival in the Balkans.
But did you know that the festival originated from a hundred-day student protest against then-president Milošević in 2000? This is considered the first edition of the festival and social activism is still an important motivation for the organization.
3. Woodstock baby’s
According to TIME, there were two confirmed births during Woodstock in 1969. And while the babies born during the festival have never been identified, we'd like to believe that they are.
2. Members only
Click, click.. and your festival ticket has been purchased. It is becoming easier and easier these days to attend your favourite festival. Except for the fans of the Freerotation festival in Wales..
They have to be invited by an existing member during one day every April to get the chance to buy a ticket and for that too members get priority. Fancy your chances this year? Good luck!
1. £1 tickets and free milk
To this day, the legendary Glastonbury is held annually on the same farm as its first edition in 1970. However, a number of things have changed in that time.
For example, visitors paid just £1 to attend the 1970 Pilton Pop, Blues & Folk Festival (now Glastonbury) and the ticket price included some cool shows and free milk from the farm.
